                                        Ukulele Fingerpicking (January 2017)

Fingerpicking is something that can really enhance the playing of a ukulele group. This course will bring out the fingerpicking in some famous tunes and, more importantly, will allow you to adapt fingerpicking to tunes that you want to play.

              It's A Ukulele Christmas (Nov / Dec 2016)

 Enhance those Christmas ukulele classics with some very easy techniques.

Ukulele for Beginners

(Sept /Oct 2016)

 

The ukulele has become one of Britain's most popular instruments. From primary schools to the U3A and in local groups throughout the country, people of all ages are strumming their favourite songs.

 

From Sept 11th to Oct 2nd Mike Gradwell, the Garstang Ukulele Group's teacher will be running a 4 week course for complete beginners. The course will run from 12.30-1.30 each Sunday and the cost for all 4 weeks will be £20. This August Penwarden Music is offering several courses aimed at budding singers and ukulele players. These will consist of five one-hour sessions during the first week of August and will take place at St Thomas's Church, Milnthorpe.

The courses available are:

  • Beginner Singing for 8 - 11 year olds

  • Beginner Singing for 12 - 16 year olds

  • Beginner Singing for adults

  • Beginner Ukulele for 8 - 12 year olds

  • Beginner Ukulele for 13 - 18 year olds
